Puppy Head-Start
Why Puppy Head-Start?
The objective of Puppy Head-Start training is to help your puppy become a well-balanced adult dog with self-confidence and a friendly disposition. During the Puppy Head-Start session you will learn about dog development and will be given the most effective training tools to provide your puppy with guided learning experiences and exercises. Early puppyhood is a critical time for socialization and rapid learning. This time will set the stage for the rest of your puppy's life. This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime chance to show your puppy how to confidently relate to other puppies, unfamiliar people, new sights, sounds, and events.
What age is the ideal for Puppy Head-Start training?
Puppy Head-Start training should begin between eight to sixteen weeks of age, or as soon as the puppy has left the litter. Whatever your puppy has learned from Mom and his or her littermates has already taken place. By seven weeks, your puppy's brain is developed sufficiently to allow him or her to process what he or she needs to learn.
During the first sixteen weeks of life, your puppy is highly impressionable. the experiences your puppy has during this period will greatly shape who he or she will become in adult life. Without proper guidance, your puppy will most likely develop a temperament which will make a harmonious integration into your family more challenging. Armed with the puppy head-start, you will be able to train your puppy so that he or she can become a friendly dog with confident manners.
